Microsoft Adds Touch ID Feature to Outlook for iOS

Microsoft has updated its Outlook email client for iOS devices to offer Touch ID capabilities. This makes Outlook the first of the leading email apps on iOS to offer Touch ID support.

From the Outlook App Store Page:

You can now protect your inbox with Touch ID and get the privacy you deserve. Keep your messages away from prying eyes by requiring your fingerprint or device passcode in order to access your Outlook account.

Setting up Touch ID in the app involves going to the “Settings” tab inside the app, and toggling on the “Require Touch ID” setting.

Microsoft’s email app also offers “Focused Inbox,” which keeps the important messages on top. It also allows users to switch between emails and calendar to schedule the next meeting or share availability with just a few taps.

In addition to Microsoft’s own email services, the app also offers support for: Gmail, Yahoo Mail, and iCloud. Version 2.2.2 also includes the ability to add profile photos of event attendees in agenda view, as well as a shortcut for the day and 3-day view that allows users to create a new event by merely tapping and holding.

Microsoft Outlook for iOS is free, and is available for iOS devices in the App Store. [GET IT HERE]
