Apple Store Down Ahead of Today’s Event: ‘We Can’t Wait to Show You What we Have in Store.’

As is normal before big Apple media events, The online Apple store is offline this morning, with just hours to go before the big “Let Us Loop You In” event is scheduled to kickoff. Apple’s event starts at 10AM Pacific/ 1PM Eastern time.

Today’s event is expected to see the debut of a new 4-inch iPhone, the “iPhone SE,” which is expected to boast an A9 processor, improved camera, and NFC support, making it compatible with Apple Pay.

A new 9.7-inch iPad is also expected to make the scene, with features inherited from the 12.9-inch iPad Pro. (It is expected that the new tablet will carry the “Pro” designation.) The new tablet is expected to offer a four-speaker setup, a Smart Connector for connecting accessories, and is also expected to be compatible with the Apple Pencil.

New Apple Watch bands are also expected to debut at the event, with existing bands being offered in new colors, plus possible new bands – such as a much-rumored nylon band, as well as a Space Black Milanese Loop.

MacTrast will provide coverage of the event, as it happens. Be here for all of the action. Aloha!
