Apple has made a new “Apple Events” app available in the Apple TV’s tvOS App Store, just in time for its “Let Us Loop You In” spring media event, scheduled for March 21st at 10:00AM Pacific, 1:00PM Eastern time.
While owners of the new fourth-generation model Apple TV will be required to download the app from the tvOS App Store, owners of older model devices should likely see the new app automatically appear in their menus sometime in the next day or so.
The event livestream will also be available for viewing on iOS devices, and Mac computers via Apple’s event website. iOS 7 or OS X 10.8.5 with Safari 6.0.5 or later is required for viewing.
Monday’s event is expected to see the debut of a new 4-inch iPhone, the “iPhone SE,” which is expected to boast an A9 processor, improved camera, and NFC support, making it compatible with Apple Pay.
A new 9.7-inch iPad is also expected to make the scene, with features inherited from the 12.9-inch iPad Pro. (Some expect the new tablet to carry the “Pro” designation.) The new tablet is expected to offer a four-speaker setup, a Smart Connector for connecting accessories, and is also expected to be compatible with the Apple Pencil.
New Apple Watch bands are also expected to debut at the event, with existing bands being offered in new colors, plus possible new bands – such as a much-rumored nylon band, as well as a Space Black Milanese Loop.
MacTrast will provide coverage of the event, as it happens. Be here for all of the action, as it happens. Aloha!
