Apple on Wednesday released a series of free Apple TV Tech Talk videos to developers, offering information on building and designing apps for the tvOS App Store on the fourth-generation Apple TV.
As noted on Apple’s developer webpage, the Apple TV Tech Talks video series is a compilation of taped sessions at which developers received firsthand training on how to design and develop apps and games. The site features 11 videos in all, each led by Apple experts discussing different aspects of tvOS.
The video topics range from giving a broad overview of tvOS, to more specific issues, such as designing focus-driven interfaces with UIKit, Using the Siri Remote and Game Controllers in apps, media playback in apps, storage, App Store distribution and marketing, and more.
Last November saw Apple announce a series of live “Tech Talks” for developers who were learning about creating apps for the new Apple TV. The talks were held in a number of cities around the world, and were hosted by Apple experts.
All 11 Apple TV Tech Talks are available for free viewing via Apple’s developer portal. They range in length from around 20 minutes to upwards of 40 minutes. Videos are apparently only viewable on the Safari web browser, as we tried to view them via Chrome, and received a message that streaming was in Safari, and the WWDC app.
