Microsoft Will Give You up to $250 for Your Apple Watch – No, Really

Microsoft really wants you to try their new Microsoft Band 2. So much so, that they’re offering you up to $250 for that Apple Watch you have on your wrist.

AppleInsider:

The new promotion actually covers a wide range of wearable devices, including options from Fitbit, Garmin, Nike, and Sony. Original Microsoft Band owners can also earn up to $35 for trading in their first-generation device, but Microsoft is offering the most credit for the Apple Watch.

Amounts offered for an Apple Watch vary, according to the model and type of band. For example, Microsoft thinks highly of the 38mm stainless steel model with the Milanese Loop Band, offering $250 trade-in, but a larger 42mm model with the same band only nets you $100 in trade?

The Band 2 is the second-generation fitness tracker, and offers a curved OLED display, a barometer to track elevation, and still includes sensors for heart rate, UV levels, and a built-in GPS, just like the first model did. It’s best matched with a Windows Phone device, but it is also compatible with the iPhone via Microsoft’s Health app. It runs $249, so if you have that 38mm model with the Milanese Loop band, it’s an even trade.

So yeah, don’t pull something running to your nearest Microsoft Store to make the trade. What? You don’t know where the nearest Microsoft Store is? Yeah, I don’t know where mine is either. Now, if you’ll excuse me, my Apple Watch says it’s time to go to the refrigerator for a beer stand up for a minute.
