If you’ve ever been in an area where your iPhone has a lousy cell signal, you might want to forward any calls that might be coming in to a different phone number, maybe a local landline, or your home phone. Here’s how.
Forwarding Calls From Your iPhone to Another Phone
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap “Phone.”
- Tap “Call Forwarding.”
- Tap the Call Forwarding Toggle Switch.
- Enter the number you’d like to forward your calls to, including area code. You’ll see a little phone handset with an arrow appear in the iPhone Status Bar to let you know Call Forwarding is enabled.
That’s all it takes. To turn Call Forwarding off, just repeat the above steps.
Note: Verizon users, will need to turn on call forwarding by dialing *72, followed by the phone number you want your calls forwarded to. Dial *73 to turn off call forwarding.
