Apple is continuing its rapid expansion plans in China, and is set to open its 29th Chinese retail store this Saturday in Shenyang. The Cupertino firm is working toward a target of having 40 retail stores open in the country by October of this year.
Apple is mostly opening its Chinese stores inside major shopping malls, and this will be the sixth to open in a MixC mall.
The new location will be Apple’s second store in Shenyang, a city of just over 8 million people, and a major commercial hub for north-eastern China.
Apple is currently on pace to open one Apple Store per month, opening number 27 in the Chaoyang Joy City shopping mall in Beijing in November, and store number 28 in the MixC complex in the Qingxiu District of Nanning in December.
