Hyundai has announced that the 2017 Hyundai Elantra, hitting showroom floors later this month, will offer support for Apple’s CarPlay and Google’s Android Auto.
The feature will be available in models sporting a 7- or 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Drivers will be able to command Siri or Google voice commands by hitting a button in the steering wheel. CarPlay requires a Lightning cable connection to the vehicle’s console, so the vehicle will include a second USB port for charging other mobile devices.
Pricing for the 2017 Elantra begins at $17,150. The car maker will be announcing details on other vehicles that will also offer CarPlay and Android Auto support soon.
