Apple will begin hosting new in-store hands-on workshops next month that are designed to help iOS device users bring out their creative side. CNET reports one workshop is aimed at creative photography techniques on the iPhone, while the other will cover using iPads for sketching, drawing and other art techniques.
The iPhone workshop is designed to help users at all skill levels to use a variety of iPhone apps to capture and improve their images more creatively.
CNET:
“We’ll help you try out various accessories and techniques — like long exposure for light trails, using Time-lapse to show progression, or getting up close with nature using a macro lens,” Apple said in a statement. “Then, we’ll explore artistic ways to adjust and edit your photos, so you can create a work of art, find your style, or just improve your skills.”
Apple’s new iPad workshop is designed to teach aspiring iPad artists new techniques for sketching, drawing, and painting on their favorite Apple tablet. Apple will also be posting artists’ creations both in-store and on their website as a part of an effort called “Start Something New.”
The new workshops are in addition to the photography and videography workshops already offered in Apple retail stores. The new workshops are not yet listed on Apple’s website, but CNET reports the new workshops will be offered worldwide at all Apple retail store locations, so keep an eye on your local store’s webpage for more information.
