Readdle, maker of such popular iOS app as Documents 5, PDF Expert 5, Printer Pro, and more, has announced the release of PDF Expert for the Mac.
PDF Expert allows users to do the following with PDF documents:
- Read
- Annotate
- Write notes
- Fill out PDF forms
- Sign contracts
- Merge a few PDF files (or their pages) into a one file.
- Preview pages
- Use multiple tabs
Readdle says the new app can chew through a thousand page PDF and still offer smooth scrolling, allowing easy annotation and editing.
PDF Expert is perfect for filling out PDF forms. It supports text fields, checkboxes, radio buttons, and other form elements, and all the information users enter is saved within the form. Readdle reports that it even handles complex interactive forms with Javascript.
Signing documents is easy, as PDF Expert allows users to use the Mac’s trackpad to sign with a finger, or you can type your name on the keyboard, and PDF Expert will create a signature for you. You can also use signatures previously created inside of PDF Expert for iOS.
The app fully supports handoff and continuity across iOS devices and the Mac, allowing users to begin working on a document on the Mac, and then pick up editing on an iOS device while on the go.
We’ve been using PDF Expert for awhile, and it has quickly become our goto PDF reader/editor of choice.
