UPDATE: The Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Dock is now available on Apple’s website and is available for $79.00. The site shows an estimated shipping date of Friday, November 20 with one day shipping. The dock will also be available in-store on the 20th.
Apple new official Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Dock is now available for purchase in some Apple Stores around the globe. The accessory has appeared in the Berlin store in Germany, as shown in the photo below.
The product does not yet appear to be available online but is on stock shelves at Apple retail stores, perhaps slightly earlier than officially planned.
As was shown in the leaked photos we published yesterday, the dock can charge the Watch either laying flat on the charger, or in an upright “Nightstand mode” position. A full hands-on unboxing video is seen below.
As seen in the image, the dock retails for 89 euros, which is around $95 USD, so we can likely expect the accessory will retail for around $90 here in the States.
While a number of charging docks are already available for Apple’s popular wearable device from third-party suppliers, they have all required users to bring their own magnetic Apple Watch charging cable to the docking party. Until now, Apple hadn’t shown any indication that they would offer a charging dock solution of their own.
