Apple Seeds Fifth Beta of OS X 10.11.2 El Capitan to Developers and Public Beta Testers

Apple on Monday seeded the fifth beta of OS X 10.11.2 El Capitan, the upcoming update to Apple’s latest Mac operating system. The beta is available to both developers and public beta testers. The new beta comes two weeks following the release of the fourth beta.

The new beta – build 15C48a – is available to developers through the Apple Developer Center, or via the “Update” tab in the Mac App Store. Public beta testers can install the new beta via the “Update” tab in the Mac App Store.

So far, the OS X 10.11.2 update betas have focused on under the hood improvements, with no apparent user-visible changes or additions to the operating system. Apple’s release notes for the fifth beta indicate testers should focus their testing on: Graphics, Mail, Wi-Fi, Calendar, USB, Notes, Photos, Spotlight, and Networking.
