Apple on Tuesday seeded the third beta of iOS 9.2 to developers and public beta testers. The seed comes just one week after the release of the second seed.
The new iOS 9.2 beta – build 13C71 – is available for download from the Apple Developer Center, or as an over-the-air update for devices already running iOS 9.2. Apple also released a new seed of the Xcode 7.2 beta, also available via download from the Apple Developer Center.
Earlier betas of iOS 9.2 offered bug fixes and performance enhancements, and also brought changes to the Safari View Controller for apps, allowing it to work more like the standard Safari browser, offering support for third-party action extensions, as well as allowing a long-tap on the browser refresh button to load content without blocking content, as well as loading the desktop version of a website.
iOS 9.2 beta 2 improved Safari View Controller further, introducing support for dismissing it with an edge swipe. It also included support for AT&T NumberSync. Via NumberSync, other devices, such as an iPad or Mac, can place calls and texts over Wi-Fi.
