We reported earlier this week that some users were experiencing an issue where their new iPad Pro would become unresponsive after charging it. The device would require a hard restart to become functional.
Apple has today posted a support document related to the issue, and in it tells customers that the company is looking into the issue, and is currently recommending the aforementioned hard restart as an interim fix.
To get back to using your iPad Pro, force restart it by pressing and holding both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
Apple is aware of this issue and is investigating.
The freezing issue appears to be affecting a good number of users, with comp-laints posted on the Apple Support Communities, the MacRumors forums, and reddit.
The issue has reportedly affected both 32GB and 128GB models running iOS 9.1, both Wi-Fi and Cellular models. Currently, it is unknown if the issue is caused by a hardware issue or is software-related. However, last month it was reported that users of some iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus and iPhone 6 were experiencing a similar issue, with their smartphones randomly powering off.
