Readers may remember last year’s review about the 4-star PhoneSoap charger that sanitized your iPhone while it charged it. Now, with the advent of larger phones, such as the iPhone 6s Plus, PhoneSoap is offering the new PhoneSoap 2.0 model that can charge/sanitized even the biggest handsets.

PhoneSoap doesn’t use any harsh chemicals, soap, or water to clean your phone, instead it uses UV-C light to kill the germs that your device comes in contact with every day. The two UV-C lamps in PhoneSoap 2.0 produce a very specific wavelength of light which kills germs. The company even claims it kills so-called “Superbugs” that have developed resistance to chemicals that used to be effective.
Just like the PhoneSoap 1.0 before it, PhoneSoap 2.0 works with any handset, whether it’s an iPhone, or an Android handset. You simply plug the charging cable you already have into the PhoneSoap, and then thread it into the sanitizing space.
We loved the the PhoneSoap 1.0 and gave it a 4/5 star rating, so we can expect version 2.0 to perform just as well.

SANITIZING:
The sanitizing space was designed to fit even the largest phones. Measure your phone (with or without a case) to ensure it will fit inside. While PhoneSoap 2.0 was designed specifically for cell phones, whatever fits inside will be safely sanitized. If it fits, it sanitizes! Sanitizing takes about 4 minutes and a blue indicator turns on while your phone is being cleaned, and shuts off when the process is done.
