Flexbits has updated it popular Fantastical 2 apps for the iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch to version 2.5. The updates include 3D Touch for the iPhone, multitasking for the iPad, and a native app for the Apple Watch.
Fantastical 2 for iPhone now includes 3D Touch support, allowing users to firmly press on the Fantastical 2 app icon to get instant access to the app’s most popular actions.
Fantastical 2 for Apple Watch – which is included as a feature of the iPhone app – now includes complications, a “go to date” option, plus improved speed thanks to a native app. (The features require an Apple Watch running watchOS 2).
Fantastical 2 for iPad now offers multitasking, allowing users to use Fantastical simultaneously with other apps via iOS 9’s slide over and split view modes.
“We’ve leveraged multiple new technologies in iOS 9 to make Fantastical even more productive,” said Michael Simmons, Co-Founder of Flexibits. “We think Fantastical users are going to love these new features.”
Fantastical 2 allows users to quickly and easily create, view, and search events and reminders. The app uses an advanced natural language engine that allows users to enter event or reminder details in their own style. For example, users can enter sentences such as “Lunch with Elon at 123 Main Street on Tuesday,” and Fantastical 2 translates the sentence into an event and adds it to their calendar. Users can also enter sentences such as “todo pick up dry cleaning,” and the app will create a reminder, ready to check off.
