The slow but sure rollout of the Apple Watch to new countries around the world is continuing, as news of an official November 6th release date for India on Apple’s website. Meanwhile, the Watch continues to become more widely available stateside, as the promised availability of the wearable device at Target departments stores has been fulfilled.
Details are limited on Apple Watch pricing and retail availability just yet, as only the date has been added to the India listing. The news comes as Apple CEO Tim Cook met with India’s Prime Minister last month, discussing Apple Pay and possibly bringing Apple Stores to the country, which would require manufacturing in the country, where Apple currently relies on resellers for distribution.
Meanwhile Target has delivered on its promise to make the Watch available both in its retail stores, and online. (Via The Loop) The big-box retailer is offering the Apple Watch Sport and Apple Watch models at the same pricing as Apple.
While Target also lists a number of bands on their website, most remain unavailable for delivery or in-store pickup. Hopefully, that should change very soon. Availability in Target stores may also be limited, as we found out when we visited our local Target location. No Apple Watches were on display, and they only one Watch – a 38mm Sport model – in stock.
