Apple has reserved the massive Bill Graham auditorium to hold its September 9th media event, and it appears it is because you need a BIG venue for a BIG event!
Apple’s September 9th event is set to be one of the company’s largest events in history, as is reflected by the expansive size of its San Francisco venue. Besides a pair of new iPhones, the substantially revamped Apple TV set top box, and new bands for the Apple Watch, Apple is currently planning to debut a pair of new iPads at next week’s event: the long-rumored iPad Pro, and a refreshed version of the iPad mini, according to trusted sources…
The site’s sources says the 12.9-inch “iPad Pro” will hit the shelves in November, with a pre-order campaign kicking off near the end of October. They do hedge their bets a bit, by saying it is possible Apple could hold back the debut of the larger tablet until October, due to the November shipping date.
9to5Mac’s sources indicate next week’s event will include an “unprecedented” amount of product introductions. If the iPad Pro is indeed introduced at next Wednesday’s event, a new iPad mini 4 will also debut. A third version of the iPad Air is said to be in the works, but it likely won’t debut until 2016.
