Kuo: ‘iPhone 6s’ Storage to Stand Pat at 16GB, 64GB, 128GB Capacities

Well-connected analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has issued a note to investors claiming the “iPhone 6s” will be available in the same storage capacities as the current iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus handsets.

KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has issued a note to investors that claims the so-called “iPhone 6s” will be offered in 16GB, 64GB and 128GB storage capacities, the same sizes available for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

Kuo’s prediction jibes with a number of reports that have claimed Apple will stand pat on the memory offerings for this year’s model of the iPhone. Apple’s new iPhones are expected to debut at the Apple media event to be held in San Francisco on September 9th.

Kuo also says he expected the iPhone 6s to sportĀ an improved front-facing 5-megapixel FaceTime camera, as well as Force Touch, a new rose gold color option, and an improved Touch ID fingerprint scanner.

Kuo believes the iPhone 6s went into mass production in August, and notes there have been some production bottlenecks due to Force Touch, casing, and vibration motor issues.

As well as the iPhone 6s debut, Apple is also expected to unveil a new and improved Apple TV, and possibly the much-rumored 12.9-inch “iPad Pro,” as well as a new iPad mini 4 at next Wednesday’s event.
