Big box membership retailer Costco is offering its members a $50 or $100 rebate when they pre-order an iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus. The rebate amount is different for each carrier.
T-Mobile customers receive a $100 mail-in rebate when they pre-order any iPhone 6s or 6s Plus, while Verizon and Sprint customers only receive a $50 mail-in rebate on either a 16 GB gold iPhone 6s Plus, a 16 GB Space Gray iPhone 6s or a 64 GB Space Gray iPhone 6s. AT&T customers don’t get any type of rebate.
This is an unusual move to offer rebates during the pre-order period, however many retailers and carriers are offering deals such as this on this go-round, likely due to Apple’s own iPhone Upgrade Program.
