Apple on Tuesday seeded the second beta of the OS X 10.11. El Capitan update to developers for testing. The new release comes just over a week following the first release of the first beta.
The beta, build 15B22c, is available via the Update tab in the Mac App Store, and also via download from the Apple Developer Center.
While it isn’t known for sure what changes and updates are available in this most recent update, the first beta release of OS X 10.11.1 included new support for Unicode 8, including new emoji such as a taco, burrito, cheese wedge, middle finger, and a unicorn head.
Apple’s release notes for the second beta merely states: “The OS X El Capitan 10.11.1 update improves the stability, compatibility, and security of your Mac.”
The public release of OS X 10.11 El Capitan is scheduled for this Wednesday, September 30. Apple, in a press release earlier today, confirmed tomorrow’s release is on track.
