Wednesday, September 30 will mark the end of the Apple Music free trial period, and Apple is reportedly sending subscribers notifications on their devices to remind them to renew their subscriptions.
As we learned in the summer, users who do not manually end their free trial with Apple Music will be automatically opted into continuing their subscription for either $9.99 or $14.99 (family plan).
If you’ve decided not to automatically renew your Apple Music subscription, be sure you’ve turned off auto-renew by following the “how-to” we published awhile back.
Today’s reminders are just the latest in a campaign by Apple to entice trial subscribers to sign up for the single or family plan paid subscriptions. Earlier this week, Apple posted a series of guided tours explaining how to navigate the somewhat confusing Apple Music interface. The company has ran Apple Music ads on their YouTube channel, as well as on television. The company has also posted posters on bus stops and buildings.
It will be interesting to see how many trial subscribers renew when the free trial is up on Wednesday. The latest estimates indicate around 37 million American users have used Apple Music.
