A new image of what is alleged to be packaging for the “iPhone 6s” has been published by Dutch site Techtastic. The box appears to be similar to that of an “iPhone 6s Plus” box that was published in late August.
Today’s box bears a black and gold koi pond-like fish against a white surface, as was found on the earlier box. The image has spurred rumors that Apple will offer motion wallpapers for the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, much like the Apple Watch’s motion backgrounds.
The image also appears to indicate a rose gold color for the upcoming iPhone 6s lineup. Another image indicates the next-generation devices will once again be available in a 16GB base model.
This latest image, as well as the earlier one from August, could be mockups, or even rejected designs. We may find out more tomorrow following Apple’s big media event. MacTrast will be live blogging the event, and we hope you’ll join us here at 1:00PM Eastern/10:00AM Pacific. Be there, or be square. And we don’t mean the good kind of square, like the Apple TV…
