Apple today has introduced a few new options for bands for their Apple Watch. New options available include a Link Bracelet Kit, new sizing options for the Apple Watch Sport Band, and an option to purchase the 38mm Modern Buckle band on a standalone basis.
Apple’s 42mm Link Bracelet band boasts links that can be added or removed to adjust it for any size wrist, up to 205mm. The Link Bracelet Kit offers six additional stainless steel links that can expand the band by another 40mm, for a maximum size of 245mm. The Link Bracelet Kit is priced at $49, and is available in the Apple online store. The kit ships in 5 to 7 business days.
Apple also added new sizing options for the Apple Watch Sport Band. There is a new L/XL sizing option for the 42mm Apple Watch. The bands are now sold in two configurations, S/M & M/L and M/L & L/XL. The new L/XL size is available in black or white and expands the size range of the Sport Band up to 245mm.
Last, but not least, the 38mm Modern Buckle band is now available as a standalone purchase, the first time the band has been available on its own since the Apple Watch’s launch.
The Modern Buckle, made from Granada leather from a small French tannery, also includes a magnetic buckle closure, and boasts a Vectran weave to keep the leather of the band from stretching.
Colors available include: Brown, Black, Soft Pink, and Midnight Blue, and are all shown as in stock. Orders placed today will arrive sometime between August 24 and September 1. In-store pickup is not available at this time.
