As we reported earlier this year, Apple acquired music plug-in and effects company Camel Audio, best known for its Alchemy bundle of plug-ins, synthesizers, effects, and sound libraries. That acquisition bore fruit today, as Apple released updated versions of Logic Pro X and MainStage 3 that includes Alchemy.
Logic Pro 10.2 gives you even more power to create electronic music with Alchemy, a next-generation synthesizer. Alchemy works hand in hand with all the beat-making and music-production features introduced in Logic Pro 10.1 to create all types of music, including EDM and Hip Hop.
Alchemy includes various sound generators, among them: additive, spectral, formant, granular, sampler, and virtual analog generators. It also includes 3,000 presets for electronic music.

Users can find sounds quickly with the built-in preset browser, and reshape them with the Transform Pad. The update also offers Force Touch trackpad support for newer Mac models, as well as adding tools that all artists to share their music directly with others via Apple Music Connect.
iPad companion app Logic Remote gained new smart controls for Alchemy instruments with today’s updates.
