Apple on Monday seeded Xcode 7 beta 6 to registered developers. The new seed comes a little over two weeks since beta 5 of the venerable code editing environment.
The new beta – Build: 7A192o – can be downloaded via the “Update” tab in the Mac App Store, or via download from the Apple Developer Center.
As in previous betas, today’s seed offers support for the Swift 2.0 coding language, app thinning, and enhanced compatibility with Test Flight.
AppleInsider notes that new in beta 6 is the XCTest user interface testing tool, which allows API to automate controls like date pickers. The new release also offers fixes for issues regarding watchOS app installation protocols and Xcode source control management.
Xcode 7 allows developers to create apps for Apple’s next-generation operating systems, including OS X 10.11 El Capitan, iOS 9, and watchOS 2, all of which should see a public release this fall.
