Apple on Thursday seeded the fifth beta of iOS 9 to developers. The new seed comes just a little over two weeks following the release of beta four. Apple also released beta 5 of Xcode 7, build 7A176x.
The update, build13A4325c, is currently only available via download from the Apple Developer Center, but it should show up as an over-the-air update for users already running the iOS 9 beta on their devices very soon.
At this point in time, we don’t know what the new beta seed brings to the table, but we will update this post as we discover what’s new.
iOS 9 Features
The iOS 9 update has so far concentrated on making users’ devices more intelligent and proactive. Siri is more intelligent, and Spotlight search is also improved . Also improved are many of the built-in apps, including Music (with Apple Music), Notes, Reminders, Maps, and Mail.
The new OS also includes new iPad-only features, such as spit-screen multitasking for the iPad, as well as picture-in-a-picture and a revamped keyboard.
