Apple released updates of all three of its iOS iWork apps on Tuesday. The update of Pages, Numbers, and Keynote returns full VoiceOver navigation and functionality to the apps. The update brings all three apps up to version 2.5.4.
What’s New in Version 2.5.4
• Resolves an issue that prevented proper navigation and editing with VoiceOver
• Resolves an issue where turning on Speak Screen blurred text on some devices (Pages only)
VoiceOver is a gesture-based screen reader that allows users who can’t see the screen to interact with the device via touch and sound. When VoiceOver is enabled on an iOS device, the user can triple-click the Home button to access it while using the device.
“VoiceOver is a revolutionary screen reader that lets you know what’s happening on your Multi-Touch screen — and helps you navigate it — even if you can’t see it. Touch the screen to hear what’s under your finger, then use gestures to control your device. VoiceOver works with the apps that come with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.”
The latest versions of Pages, Numbers, and Keynote are available now, and are free for existing users. New users can download the apps from the iOS App Store for $9.99 per app.
