The Apple Store has gone down this morning, just ahead of an expected refresh of the iPod lineup.
While the iPod nanos and Shuffle lineups will likely get new colors, but won’t get any new features, the iPod touch should see some nice upgrades. Rumors indicate the touch upgrades will include: A major camera upgrade to 8 megapixels, bringing it up to par with the iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2; a 64-bit processor, a motion coprocessor, and the device will sport iOS 8.4 with Apple Music.
9to5Mac indicates the starting price will remain at $199 for 16GB. There will also be a $299 model with 64GB of space, and a new 128GB model will go for $399.
