Apple on Tuesday seeded the fourth beta of iOS 9 to developers. The new seed comes two weeks following the release of the third beta.
The update, build 13A4305g, is available as an over-the-air update for users already running the iOS 9 beta on their devices, or via download from the Apple Developer Center. Apple also released Xcode 7 beta 4, build 7A165t.
At this point in time, we don’t know what the new beta seed brings to the table, but we will update this post as we discover what’s new. As far as issues that remain, Apple says there are still bugs with AirPlay, Apple Pay, CarPlay, HealthKit, HomeKit, iCloud Backup, Multitasking, Mail, Maps, Podcasts, Safari, Siri, and more.
The previous beta seed, beta 3, brought the much-anticipated Apple Music streaming service to iOS 9, with an updated Music app. Seed 3 also brought new Photos folders for Selfies and Screenshots, as well as the News app, and 4×4 app icon layouts for the iPad.
The iOS 9 update has so far concentrated on making users’ devices more intelligent and proactive. Siri is more intelligent, and Spotlight search is also improved . Also improved are many of the built-in apps, including Notes, Reminders, Maps, and Mail.
The new OS also includes new iPad-only features, such as spit-screen multitasking for the iPad, as well as picture-in-a-picture and a revamped keyboard.
