Apple Seeds Beta 1 of iOS 8.4.1 to Developers

Apple on Tuesday seeded beta 1 of iOS 8.4.1 to developers for testing. The new seed comes just two weeks after the public release of iOS 8.4. As iOS 9 is already in beta testing by developers and the public, this may be the last update of any significance to iOS 8.4.

The new beta, build 12H304, is available via download from the Apple Developer Center. At this point in time we don’t know of any major changes in the release, although the numbering would indicate it is likely a bug fix and performance enhancement release. We’ll keep you posted if we learn anything different.

Apple released iOS 8.4 on June 30, which also brought a revamped Music app with support for Apple Music and Beats 1 radio. The release has already achieved a 40% adoption rate on compatible iOS devices.
