Apple Releases OS X El Capitan Beta Supplemental Update to Fix App Crashes

Apple on Friday released an OS X El Capitan Beta Supplemental Update that is intended to fix “an issue that may cause some 32-bit apps to quit unexpectedly.”

MacRumors indicates the update is appearing for users of both the third developer beta seed and the public beta, which was released on Thursday.

Apple widened its beta testing group on Thursday by releasing a public beta of its upcoming new version of OS X. Testing had previously been limited to developers. The new operating system is scheduled for a full release to the public this fall, likely around the same October timeframe of most previous OS X updates.
