Apple on Wednesday released the MacBook Pro Flash Storage Firmware Update 1.0 for mid-2015 models of the MacBook Pro. Apple says the update fixes a storage firmware issue that could cause data corruption in rare cases.
Affected machines include the 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro, which was released in March of this year, as well as the 15-inch Retina MacBook Pro which was released in May of this year.
The update is a recommended download for all customers who own a mid-2015 MacBook Pro. The download can be installed from the “Update” tab in the Mac App Store, (on affected machines only), or can be downloaded directly from Apple’s Support website.
