Apple on Thursday debuted its 2015 Back to School promotion. The company will offer a free pair of Beats Solo2 on-ear headphones with the purchase of eligible Mac computers. Apple is also offering to upgrade the headphones to the wireless model for an extra $100.

Apple says eligible Macs include: iMac, MacBook, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and Mac Pro, including configure-to-order versions of such products. The Mac mini and refurbished Mac computers are not eligible for the promotion.
Apple’s back to School promotions usually launch earlier in July, but this year’s launch came later than expected. Apple Retail SVP Angela Ahrendts assured Apple employees via video last week that news about Apple’s Back to School promotion would be forthcoming.
The promotion runs from today through September 18, 2015 and is available in the United States and Canada. The program will likely also be available in additional countries.
