Earlier today Apple added the Apple Events channel back into the Apple TV lineup for viewing during WWDC 2015, and now they’ve also added National Geographic’s NatGeo TV channel.
Apple’s latest channel includes on-demand shows and documentaries covering science, history, culture, and more. The new NatGeo TV channel on Apple TV includes clips you can watch for free, but the app does require signing in with an active cable subscription to unlock the full experience.
The new channel offers organized categories such as Featured, Shows, Categories, and Settings. Apple TV viewers without a cable subscription can still view digital exclusives and other content for free.
Apple once again added the Apple Events channel to their little black box earlier today, confirming that they will live stream the Worldwide Developers Conference 2015 keynote address on Monday, June 8, at 10:00AM Pacific time.
Apple is expected to announce a new streaming music service, a revamped iTunes Radio, new versions of iOS 9 and OS X 10.11, plus a new version of the Apple TV set top streaming box at WWDC 2015. While it was expected that Apple would also debut its new streaming television service at the event, reports now indicate the service will not make an appearance.
