Apple added new channels to the Apple TV in several countries on Tuesday, including: Australia, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Japan, Norway, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.
Australian Apple TV viewers saw an app added for Stan, an Aussie Netflix-style service which offers movies and TV shows. Stan is an ad-free subscription service, and supports simultaneous viewing on up to three devices.
Viaplay, which offers TV shows, sports, and movies is now available to viewers in Viewers in Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden.
The UK and Ireland now have access to the WWE Wrestling Network, which, aptly enough, covers all things wrestling.
Last, but not least, Japanese Apple TV owners can now tune into local subscription network Bandai. The anime broadcaster is also available on computers, iOS and Android devices, and the Nintendo Wii U.
Apple is expected to unveil a new version of the Apple TV at WWDC 2015 on June 8. The new box is expected to feature Apple’s latest A8 processor, along with a notable increase in the current amount of onboard storage. Apple is also expected to provide an App Store, and Siri-based control for the new box.
