Apple has finally released an official Lighting Dock, designed to work with the iPhone 5, 5c, 5s, 6 and 6 Plus range of handsets, as well as 5th-generation iPod touch models.
“Charge and sync any iPhone that features the Lightning connector with the iPhone Lightning Dock. Your iPhone sits upright in the dock as it syncs or charges, so it’s perfect for a desk or countertop. Even when your iPhone is in an Apple-designed case, it’s easy to dock.”
The design of the dock should allow users of iPhones with all but the most bulky cases to use it to charge their iPhones. Previous versions of iPhone docks, (back in the 30-pin days), used recesses to add support, making it nearly impossible to dock an iPhone if it was wearing a case.

The iPhone Lightning Dock is $39, in the Apple Online Store. While the site is currently only showing in-store availability for a select number of stores, customers can have it shipped to their local store for pickup.
