AppleInsider:

Cook’s account went live earlier on Monday with a bilingual post announcing Apple’s recent green manufacturing initiative. The message was sent from an iPhone 6.

“Hello China! Happy to be back in Beijing, announcing innovative new environmental programs,” read Cook’s first post. (In English, followed by a Chinese translation of the message.)

Weibo is one of the largest Chinese social networks, boasting almost 200 million active users. As both Twitter and Facebook are banned in China, platforms such as Weibo and RenRen are important communication tools for businesses doing business in mainland China.

Cook has just over 323,000 followers at the time of this article. Cook’s Twitter account, active since 2013, has over 1.17 million followers.
