Protecting your iPhone from harm should be your number one concern, closely followed by having enough power to get your device through the day. Wouldn’t it be great if you could find a highly protective case for your iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus, that would also allow you to conveniently charge it from any available USB port? Enter the LAB.C C109 and C115 cases for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
The LAB.C C109 and C115 cases offer ultra protection, as well as a built in Lightning charging cable for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus handsets. Available in multiple color options, the C series cases offer excellent protection, while allowing you to charge your device from any handy USB port. (Look around you, you’ll likely see at least 3 USB ports somewhere near you. I see 12, but I have 2 USB hubs on my desk. – Ed.)

LAB.C sent us both cases, in a variety of colors for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. We only have the iPhone 6 Plus here at the MacTrast offices, so we used all but one of the larger cases for this review, however we do have a variety of the iPhone 6 cases that we’ll be giving away soon, so keep your eyes peeled for that.
We have used two of the C115 cases here at MacTrast for over a month, and while the case definitely adds bulk to the iPhone 6 Plus, making it a little tougher to use with just one hand, we found that the added protection, and handy built-in cable more than made up for any inconvenience.
I’ve dropped my iPhone numerous times while it was in the LAB.C case, and it is none the worse for the experience. The case does an excellent job of protecting the iPhone, and as I mentioned before, only makes my hands seem slightly smaller than the iPhone 6 Plus does all by itself.
The included Lightning charging cable if MFi certified by Apple, and I never experienced the dreaded “This accessory may not be supported” message on my iPhone’s screen. The cable is flexible, as seen in the photo below, and is approximately 4-inches long tip-to-tip, giving you around 3-inches of flexible cable, which gave me enough slack to use the cable to charge my 6 Plus in my 2013 Kia Soul without it hanging precariously from my vehicle’s USB outlet.
The cable also acts as a stand, to allow you to prop up your iPhone to watch videos. It’s a nice little gimmick, which works well, and I can see it coming in handy on trips and such.
Also included in the pack is a free screen protector film, which is of about average quality. I applied it to my iPhone, and it applied easily with no bubbles, it seemed to be as durable as other protectors I’ve tried in the past, so that’s a nice little bonus to go along with a great case.
The LAB.C Cable and Ultra Protection Case for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus is an excellent option for anyone looking for a highly protective case, and who’d like another option when it comes time to grab a quick charge.
I found the LAB.C case to be an excellent way to protect my iPhone 6 Plus, even if it did add a little extra bulk. I do wish LAB.C would maybe add a slightly tacky material to the sides of the case to aid in gripping my already large iPhone.
If you’re looking for a case to protect your iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus, and like the idea of having a Lightning cable handy when you need it, this is definitely a case to consider.
