Apple has updated the Apple Watch page in its online store to list 12:01 AM Pacific Time/3:01 AM Eastern Time, April 10 as the kickoff time for pre-orders for the new wearable to begin.
Apple Watch pre-orders will go live simultaneously in all first-wave launch countries, the local times for the various countries are listed below:
- U.S. & Canada: 12:01 AM Pacific Time/3:01 AM Eastern Time
- U.K.: 8:01 AM
- Germany: 9:01 AM
- France: 9:01 AM
- Australia: 5:01 PM
- Hong Kong: 3:01 PM
- China: 3:01 PM
- Japan 3:01 PM
Apple Watch pre-orders will be accepted both via the Apple website, and the iOS Apple Store app. (We’ve always had better luck placing pre-orders through the iOS app, we’re just sayin’. – Ed.)
Apple Watch pricing begins at $349 for the Apple Watch Sport, $549 for the stainless steel model, jumping to $10,000 for the gold Apple Watch Edition model. The Watch will officially be available in stores April 24.
In related Apple Watch news, a number of reports today indicate AppleCare+ for Apple Watch will be offered at $59, $79, and $999 for the Sport, stainless steel, and Edition models, respectively.
