AgileBits on Tuesday announced an upcoming update to its popular iOS password management app 1Password. The updated app will include Apple Watch support.
The 1Password version 5.4 “Go-Go-Gadget Watch!” Edition will offer wrist access to important passwords.
“You don’t need to be an intrepid inspector (or a precocious crime-solver in pigtails) to appreciate the awesomeness of having 1Password on your wrist. 1Password for Apple Watch helps you find the little pieces of secret info you need every day, quickly and easily. If you need the code to open your garage door, one of your one-time passwords, or to look up your credit card number while phoning in an order for pizza, 1Password is right there for you.”
In addition to the Apple Watch app, 1Password 5.4 will also offer a few other new features, such as a “mark all as read” button in the Message Center, and they’ve added a toggle to remove the unread badge from the settings tab. The app will also remember whether you were viewing Favorites or Categories and take you back there when you reopen the app.
1Password for iOS is available free (with in-app purchases) for iOS devices, in the App Store. (The app is currently at version 5.3, if you download now, the app will update when 5.4 is released.)
