Microsoft Debuts Foldable iOS Compatible Universal Bluetooth Keyboard

While the words “Microsoft,” and “iPad” aren’t generally used in the same sentence, or even on the same planet, the Redmond company has announced a new foldable Bluetooth keyboard that warrants a closer look from iPad users.

9to5Mac:

Designed to allow you to switch easily between iOS, Android and Windows devices, the Microsoft Universal Foldable Keyboard is a more portable version, folding in half down the middle.

CNET reports that the keyboard, which Microsoft unveiled at the Mobile World Congress, is a “small square of a device,” sporting a matte grey finish and a magnetic closure that holds the two halves together. While some keys are larger than others, the keyboard is reported to be responsive, with keys that “spring back” as you type.

Microsoft debuted a non-foldable version of an iOS compatible keyboard back in September. That keyboard goes for a MSRP of $80, although you can grab one on Amazon for $65. While Microsoft hasn’t announced availability or pricing on the new keyboard, a foldable version’s price will likely come in just a bit higher.
