Developer Hamza Sood has found the Apple Watch Activity app hidden inside the iOS 8.2 update that was sent out to users on Monday.
So the Fitness app does exist on 8.2, it's just hidden until you connect an Apple Watch pic.twitter.com/R1BgnKYRHe

Although the Apple Watch is included by default as stock app (undeletable, whether you like it or not), the OS also includes an Activity app. Although it was previously known that the app existed, Apple has not shared details about what features the app has or even how you installed onto your phone.
Sood says the Activity app automatically appears on your Home Screen once you’ve paired your iPhone with an Apple Watch. The app unlocks once you’ve setup the Activity features on the Watch itself.
The app resembles the screens from the Activity app on the Watch, but optimized for a larger screen. The app sports a black user interface, and uses Apple’s San Francisco typeface.
The Activity app shares activity and workout data from the Watch with the iOS 8 Health app, allowing access by third-party developers when given permission by the user.
