Kickstarter of the Week: PUMP & OMG Headphones – Better Than Beats?

When it comes to Beats headphones, users either love them or hate them, there’s no in between. Both sides would have to agree, however, that Beats headphones don’t come cheap. Now, one upstart company has come up with 2 models of in-ear headphones that they say are better than Beats, and they’re looking for funding to prove that claim.

PUMP & OMG Kickstarter Site:

We believe that we have created the World’s greatest sounding in-ear headphones.

A bold claim, I agree, but let me try to convince you that it’s not the fantasy of a madman…

What’s the difference between PUMP and OMG?

The physical design, construction, materials used and build quality are exactly the same.

The PUMP earphones have a slightly newer driver design which means that it can operate just outside the frequencies that a normal human ear can hear.

(Some people say that they can hear this difference, but…)

The PUMP box is also more expensive to make.

In other words, you probably can’t go wrong with either model.

The Headphone Specs:

Frequency Range:
– PUMP: 16 hz – 24000 hz
– OMG: 20 hz – 20000 hz
Sensitivity:
– PUMP: 102 dB (+/- 3dB)
– OMG: 93 dB (+/- 3dB)

3.5mm Gold Connector Jack

In the video above, you can see folks try them out for themselves. The video shows subjects preferring PUMP and OMG to the other brands tested (Beats, SMS Audio, Sennheiser, BOSE, Marley).

The company says If you back the Kickstarter project, and at any time within 6 months of the date you receive your headphones, and they don’t live up to your expectations, they will refund your backing amount in full.
