Apple’s iCloud.com website has been updated to make its iWork for iCloud suite of productivity apps open to all users, even to those without an Apple device.
Apple made the beta iCloud.com site’s iWork tools open to all users a few weeks ago, and now the public site has followed suit.
Anyone with an Apple ID can login to iCloud.com and use the iWork suite of web apps, including Pages, Numbers, and Keynote, for free. Users can create text documents, spreadsheets, and presentations from their browser.
Users who do not already have an Apple ID can sign up for one at the iCloud website, and will also receive 1GB of complimentary iCloud storage space for use with the apps.
The iCloud.com web apps can be accessed using recent versions of Safari, Firefox, Chrome, and Internet Explorer. While users of all devices can access the iWork for iCloud apps, an iOS device or Mac computer is required to access the entire range of iCloud.com features.
