Apple seeded the second beta of iOS 8.3 to developers on Monday, fixing a bug found in the previous beta that could cause problems when connecting to a CarPlay-enabled vehicle infotainment console.
iOS 8.3 beta 2, build 12F5037c, is available to developers via download in the iOS Developer Center. Also available for download is Xcode 6.3 beta 2 with Swift 1.2. As usual, this release is intended for developer testing only, and shouldn’t be used on your daily-use iOS devices.
Apple warns developers that iOS 8.3 beta 2 has an issue with WatchKit, where some animations may play back as fast as possible, no matter what speed they are set to play.
iOS 8.3 beta 2 also has an issue with Verizon Wireless devices and LTE Voice. Developers on the Verizon network are instructed to set LTE to data only for this seed.
Apple’s release of beta 1 of iOS 8.3 was unusual, in that iOS 8.2 is still in beta testing, and has not yet been released to the public.
