A new aerial shot of the Apple Campus 2 construction project shows significant progress is being made on the main structure and surrounding areas.
9to5Mac notes that as usual, Apple shared the shot through the City of Cupertino’s webpage that provides traffic alerts and project updates for locals.
Once completed, the new Apple headquarters will hold up to 12,000 employees, over a 176-acre campus. Apple CEO Tim Cook remarked last year during a Climate Week interview that he believes the new facility will be the “greenest building on the planet.”
The Apple Campus 2 construction project kicked off in Q4 of 2013, and demolition and street utilities work is expected to finish this month. Additional earthwork and construction will continue through 2016.
