Indiegogo of the Week: Echo CONNECT PLUS: The 1st Dual Connector Charge-Key

If you’re like me, you have iOS devices, which require a lightning cable to charge. However, I also have devices and accessories that require a Micro-USB cable to charge. UGH! I hate carrying two cables with me. Actually I hate carrying cables at all. But what are you going to do?

Our friends at Echo Connect have come up with a handy solution, and they currently have it up on Indiegogo to get the funding to go into production with it. Meet the Connect PLUS, The first ever Apple licensed iPhone AND Android charger, 2-in-1 key sized charge connector.

“Small, light-weight and flexible, this handy phone accessory is an essential for any mobile phone user. The combination of the MFI certified Apple lightning connecter and the Micro-USB port give the Echo Key the ability to charge almost any electrical device.”

Echo Connect says they considered multiple factors including, usage, wear-and-tear, accessibility, size, materials, and more.

Their final design is 6cm long, (around the same size as a small door key), with hard plastic around the connectors for increased durability, and a soft flexible plastic body, so you can get it into the most challenging USB sockets.

The great thing about the Connect PLUS is that it attaches on to your key ring or necklace, or even slips into your pocket, wallet or purse, so you can take it wherever you go.

I have an original Echo Connect with a single Lightning connector on it, and it’s proven quite handy in just the short time I’ve had it. (I’ll be writing a review about it soon.) The new dual connector model looks as if it will prove indispensable.

Pledges for Echo’s Indiegogo project run from $15, which gets you one Echo Connect PLUS, all the way up to $3,600, which will get you a distributor pack of 300 PLUS keys, 100 of each available color.

Have you seen, or even better yet do you have, a current Kickstarter or Indiegogo project you’d like us to check out? If you do then drop me a line at chris@mactrast.com. Tell me all about the project, and why you think it would make a good subject for a future Kickstarter/Indiegogo Project of the Week. If I agree, I’ll contact you for more information.
