Apple released OS X Yosemite, version 10.10.2 to users on Tuesday. The OS X 10.10.2 update is designed to fix lingering Wi-Fi connection issues, addresses potential security issues, improves iCloud Drive and Bluetooth audio.
The update can be downloaded via the “Update” tab in the Mac App Store. The public release comes just one week after the release of the sixth and final beta of OS X 10.10.2 to developers.
Apple’s release notes indicate the update fixes lingering issues with Wi-Fi, fixes slow loading web pages in Safari, improves VoiceOver, improves syncing of Bluetooth audio and video over Bluetooth headphones, and adds the ability to browse your iCloud Drive via Time Machine.
The update also fixes some well-known security flaws, such as an issue that caused Spotlight to load remote mail content, even when disabled in the default Mail app, security issues revealed by Google’s “Project Zero,” and also fixes the “Thunderstrike” exploit on Thunderbolt equipped Macs.
