Apple has released iTunes 12.1 for OS X Yosemite. The update includes a new iTunes widget for the OS X Notification Center.
The new iTunes widget displays which song is playing, allows you to pause the current song, skip to the next song, or favorite the current song. If you’re listening to iTunes Radio, you can also click a button to purchase the song that’s playing, right from within the widget.
The update also includes performance improvements when syncing an iOS device to iTunes.
iTunes 12.1 can be downloaded via the “Update” tab in the Mac App Store.
